first day of true freedom...
I ord'ed from my national service last friday, and the feeling's been heavenly so far!...(for the uninitiated, ord-ing means to revert back to the civilian way of life, after completing my national service with the Singapore Armed Forces!
Upon reflecting on my days with the military, i guess i have nothing to rant about, no regrets to sigh of either. For all prospective Nsf's, all the best, serve your term with the Govt, get it over and done with, and appreciate all the experiences, friendships, felt and made in it!
Finally had some time to stone, and do some reflection on the past 23 years of my existence again...I've been accepted into NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, abbreviated as NUSS-FASS.. but i'm kinda worried about what i can be upon graduation. Everyone whom i mention my intended course of study to seems to be filled with awe, but i look upon it with anticipation coupled with a tinge of fear. Of course the idea of being a minister has crossed my mind, but with the preference of Key postitions given mostly to scholars, what real effective chances do i have?..I'll be competing with them on grounds rendered fertile and supple to them, but tarred with jagged rocks for me. For quite a while, i've been toying with thoughts of going into business, but haven't really worked out a concrete plan as to what trade i would like to work in, and what kinda market i would potentially direct my sales towards.
oh well, serious thoughts aside, here are some ramblings of the grey area inside my mind that bears a slight semblance to a brain...
I really MISS my 3 brothers!!...Elisha, Jabez and Paul!..how i wish i could go cycling with you guys now!!...too bad i don't have the cash to spare to fly over for a short trip in Galmi, and my granny would permit me to do that anyway...*sobz*..I really miss them!...the self-portraits they did of themselves resides on the wall on my computer table, and sometimes i shed a tear from missing them...=(..oh well, on a brighter side, it's been almost a year since they left, and they will be back soon!...=)
Children, they never fail to make me smile...For the month of March i have been rostered to be the Children's Worship Ministry worship leader for the sunday 9am service, and the feeling rawks!!...Finally i have had more time to really do up the slides properly, coupled with pictures, and songs that i chose with more care. I would also like to really thank my pal joannz(flippy)=)..you have always been there to co-lead with my for children's worship, and i really am grateful to you for that because alone i feel timid, but with a friend like you in accompainment, i feel much more confident!...Gracias!...
next, somehow my interest in knives seems to have faded...haven't bought a new knife in maybe 8 months?...can you believe that?!...man!...maybe i'm too caught up in the fascinating world of gadgetry that i have neglected the beautiful blades that have accompanied me for a large part of my life...but dun worry kaez?...i still love u knives!!..=)
Finally, an update on what's happening to me for the next few weeks. I will be the official videographer for a major event, involving aircraft, and being on a jet plane!...can't wait for that!...can't talk much about it, except that it's going to be awesome!!...
